Shelpin is mainly about getting resources from brands to fund impact in the areas determined by the destiny of donations chosen by people, so there is not any specific impact category area, more than the ones chosen by users. However, efforts will be directed in a first phase towards funding CO2 emissions offset.

Problem - Gap

Let’s be bold. The world is collapsing. Resources dedicated to drive change where it is needed are insufficient, opaque, suffer all kind of leaks, bias and mismanagement, and their outputs are uncertain for the majority so they do not really engage. The SDG`s are not met and people loses trust in institutions to solve humanity`s biggest problems. Time for civil organization for the common good. Yes, but how? Shelpin is a socioeconomic experiment for shaping the answer to this question in time looking at concrete pains in the three different actors in the platform this is what we find: Customers / Users: • Lack of confidence in the use of donated funds.

Quantifiable Impact?

To be honest, not really, but I know how to dream and how to work. For every million users with an average monthly expenditure through the platform of 100 € and a 3% donation, 36 M € are annually generated for causes chosen by individuals. The actual impact measuring of that economic injection to chosen causes is not in the short term scope of Shelpin, just the validation that funds were used for the intended cause, but in the future change makers will be rated based on independent impact metrics, transparency and efficiency. Facebook has 2BN users, those are the figures needed to bring significant change, and that can be only achieved by offering the technical and business tools to entrepreneurs all over the world to implement the platform in their geographical markets. About target population as long as an individual has access to a computer / smartphone, shops online and have a heart, that user is part of Shelpin`s target, however the collective to put most effort in on-boarding is people with a strong habit of online buying (age range from the 21 to the 34) and already related to any social causes and movements either by volunteering or donating. Reviewing the importance of social responsibility perception of a brand when It comes to purchase decision making looking to age range, we find that consumers select or discard a brand based on their CSR perception is a clear majority in the 21-34 age range (75%).

Problem - Gap

Our comfortable way of living while being constantly exposed to all kinds of disgrace makes that Shelpin (Shop + Help) acts as a kind of emotional balsam. Brands: • Hyper competitive scenarios brings the need to establish emotional links with their clients. • Difficult to engage customers in the CSR decisions of a company and even more to let them participate. Changemakers: • Difficult to access to funding, even more if it is free. • Lack of trust by donors

Use Case: Why use blockchain or other technologies?

• Need to digitally represent brand liabilities with NGO`s when the projects are validated, also its issuance upon a purchase event. • Need to manage state of transactions / tokens and allocations and delegations within the causes. • Need to give full traceability and transparency about every single money flow, not only with the money from brands for donations but also for the whole internal accounting of Shelpinn`s operation. • Need to have Votings / validations of documents and proofs for the tokens to be redeemed for fiat money. • Need to generate unique digital assets for reputation purposes There might be more operational/business reasons that could not be done (of course without the need of trust) by a specific database, but above the operational and business reasons for using blockchain, the most important one because of its direct connection with the project / my ethos, is more philosophically related to property/ profit sharing and decision making that new organisational and property models enabled by blockchain based DAO's. The management does not use blockchain, the management should be the blockchain itself backed by individual and collective Shelpin stakeholders.

Team Members

There are literally tenths of people of different knowledge areas that have stated their willingness to be Shelpin contributors and some of them will actually contribute when the work plans and needs are published . So far I count with 5 wonderful cryptobeings that are helping me with the MVP, and a non coder very experienced in operations manangement in blockchain startups that wants to be full time in Shelpin but at the moment it is not possible to afford a decent compensation. The rest of contributors are not full time.

Support of B4H Goals

No doubt our world needs some balance, but actions required to rebalance our society require funding (a lot). Shelpin brings a way to get that funding extracting the value of billions of customers loyalty to brands / private sector, who seem to have captured most of earth and human`s civilization value, and providing mechanisms to ensure that those resources are actually used to build real change according to the individual perception of change implied in the choice of billions of microtransactions destiny to specific causes.

External Funding If Any

The last three years, I have been researching , defining ad polishing the whole concept of Shelpin from my antique idea of exchanging loyalty for donations, while learning and knowing mind alike quixotes and building the first circle of the community needed to bootstrap a grassroots movement towards the open building and operation of the global welfare recirculation machine DAO that Shelpin aspires to be. In addition to all my previous life savings, the unemployment unique payment I got when I quit my job, and income working with parallel related projects to sustain my expenses during the last three years, no funding has been received, nor looked for, as regular equity investment has no fit in Shelpin`s vision and plans. From a technical point of view there is an almost finished POC described here https://github.com/Shelpin/ShelpinETHMAD/graphs/contributors Regarding implementation, governance and DAO design, funding and further development, first users, brand donors and causes and revenue driving, I left every paid job last 30 September to focus on executing my plans and ideas to make Shelpin a reality.
